Biting the Apple is an album led by saxophonist Dexter Gordon recorded in 1976. "Blue Bossa" is on that this album. It's a blend of hard bop and bossa nova. Dexter Gordon was one of the first players of the instrument in the bebop idiom of musicians such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Bud Powell.
